Many of the same skills that made you successful in defending our nation can be helpful in defending civilian networks.
Nationally we have a need for cybersecurity professionals. At the same time, we have far to many unemployed and underemployed veterans. Many of the same skills that made you successful in defending our nation can be helpful in defending civilian networks. In addition, the security clearances that you may have received while on active duty give you a favorable leg up in the civilian job market.
Cyber Network Defense Course
When a Veteran leaves active service and pursues a degree, their security clearance goes inactive while they are in school, and they have to start over again to get it back. What adds insult to injury is that without experience, employers are reluctant to hire them.
CNDC will allow Veterans to continue working in a security related area which may allow them to maintain their security clearance, receive the certifications needed for the civilian workforce, apply the skills they learned in a controlled virtual network environment and move them into employment.
